Description

Join Sarah Beckett, MCPF as she discusses The Needlepoint Journey: From Canvas to Framed Masterpiece.

Needlepoint is an ancient form or needlework. What began as a necessity developed over time into an artform which is still prevalent today. When presented for framing, needlepoint can provide a host of challenges. Ranging from a warped canvas, frayed edges, and improper cleaning to determining proper frame depth and glazing.

During this session Sarah discussed the different types of needlepoint and how to handle this artform. She covered techniques for blocking warped or out of
square pieces, how to determine frame depth, what to consider when framing needlepoint, and overcoming client objections for proper treatment.
